Dustin Pedroia, 2B, Boston Red Sox

FanDuel Price: $2,800

If you're looking to save some salary at second base, despite the Boston Red Sox getting a 5.00 implied team total, Dustin Pedroia isn't your guy.

Opposing pitcher Jose Berrios is a whole lot tougher than that implied team total would indicate, as he has been absolutely ruthless against righties with a 31.5% strikeout rate and 17.9% hard-hit rate. It's a small sample size, but Berrios was regarded as an elite pitching prospect for the Minnesota Twins and appears to be finally be living up to his potential.

That doesn't bode well for Pedroia's fantasy prospects, and he has limited upside to begin with. He still gets on base at a good clip (.359 OBP) and doesn't strike out much (8.2% rate), but he has only 2 home runs and 2 stolen bases on the year.

If you want some Red Sox exposure, you're better off taking a cheap lefty like Mitch Moreland ($2,700). Berrios has a 5.40 xFIP against southpaws, while striking them out just 18.2% of the time.
