Robinson Chirinos, C, Texas Rangers

Price: $2,200

Robinson Chirinos doesn't offer any sort of consistency, and he's striking out at a clip north of 40% so far this season. However, he also brings plenty of upside when he's up against a southpaw.

He has only made 29 plate appearances against lefties in 2018 so far, which helps explain his poor production. But over the last two seasons he has cracked lefties for a 43.5% hard-hit, 10.1% soft-hit and 44.9% fly-ball rate. That has translated to a terrific .392 wOBA and .245 isolated slugging (ISO).

His matchup is especially good tonight, as the lefty he'll be facing is Kansas City's Eric Skoglund. Skoglund has a 4.33 SIERA through eight games this season, bringing his career-average over his first 15 starts to 4.79. Right-handed bats have beat up on him to the tune of a .385 wOBA on a 42.3% hard-hit rate, and Chirinos has a huge ceiling in this spot.
