Facing the New York Yankees is never fun for opposing pitchers -- particularly at Yankee Stadium -- but if anyone is up to the task, it's Jacob deGrom, who's produced a stellar 2.94 SIERA, 30.7% strikeout rate, 5.7% walk rate, and 25.1% soft-hit rate. Furthermore, the Yankees may be formidable, but they're still missing Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez, and as dangerous as Giancarlo Stanton, Gleyber Torres, and Greg Bird can be, they also provide a healthy number of punchouts.

Between the matchup, high price tag, and other appealing pitchers like Luis Severino, Clayton Kershaw, or even the dirt-cheap Sean Reid-Foley, deGrom shouldn't be highly owned in tournaments, and he has just as much upside as anyone. However, keep an eye on the forecast in case it becomes dicey to use pitchers in New York, although the added risk could further deflate ownership if you're willing to take a chance.
