On Thursday's main slate, there are a lot of options to choose from. George Springer, who's the third-most expensive hitter on the main slate, could be in for some pain.

Springer slots in against the aforementioned Bauer, who was virtually un-hittable in same-sided matchups last year. Bauer posted an absurd 2.95 xFIP, 32.1% strikeout rate, and .264 wOBA over 358 total batters faced.

Springer, by his own merit, was far better with the platoon advantage a season ago. He posted a .358 wOBA against southpaws but only a .332 mark against righties. His hard-hit rate plummeted, too, dropping to a 38.5% mark against lefties but only a 31.6% mark against righties.

Springer's seven homers and .936 OPS to start 2019 will make him an attractive option, but feel free to look elsewhere. In fact, it's probably best to avoid this situation altogether tonight.
