4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 4/19/18

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

Milwaukee Brewers

Locked into a matchup with Dillon Peters of the Miami Marlins, the Milwaukee Brewers make for a tasty stack as they sport the slate's top implied total (5.14).

Peters, a southpaw, hasn't been great at the major league level, and he struggled in a small sample in 2017. Over 31 1/3 innings, the young hurler posted a 4.89 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), 19.4% strikeout rate, and 13.7% walk rate. It wasn't all bad last season -- Peters did a fantastic job of limiting hard contact with a 20.9% hard-hit rate and 21.1% fly-ball rate -- but 2018 has seen more mediocre results, and the batted-ball profile has regressed with a 38.5% hard-hit rate and 36.0% fly-ball rate over 14 2/3 innings pitched.

It's time to fire up some Brewers, who won't be too expensive.

Lucky for us, the Brew Crew has several guys who can mash left-handed pitching, including this dude.

Ryan Braun ($3,100) already got to Brad Hand, the lefty closer for the San Diego Padres, for a long homer this season, and he smashed the platoon advantage a year ago to the tune of a .253 isolated power (ISO), 47.0% hard-hit rate, and 39.8% fly-ball rate. Braun did miss yesterday's game with a calf issue, so make sure he's in the lineup. If he is, his history of dominance against lefties -- .427 wOBA for his career -- makes him a superb part of any Milwaukee stack.

Domingo Santana ($2,700) popped lefties for a 43.6% hard-hit rate and .377 wOBA last season, and he hit second the last time Milwaukee saw a southpaw.

If Jesus Aguilar gets into the lineup, he makes for an interesting option at only $2,400. Aguilar recorded a 53.5% hard-hit rate and .223 ISO in 2017 against left-handers. The sample size is tiny, but in nine plate appearances in the split this year, Aguilar owns a .550 wOBA, 57.1% hard-hit rate and 42.9% fly-ball rate versus lefties.

Lastly, Hernan Perez ($2,200) provides another cheap option. He doesn't have overwhelming batted-ball numbers with a 32.6% hard-hit rate and 34.6% fly-ball rate last year, but he was pretty strong in 2016 with a 37.2% hard-hit rate and 45.5% fly-ball rate.
