3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 6/11/18

The Indians face one of baseball's worst starters in Lucas Giolito, so stack away to your heart's content. Which other teams should get our attention?

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our new stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

Cleveland Indians

Tonight, the Cleveland Indians get one of the best matchups you could ask for, taking on baseball's equivalent of a punching bag in Lucas Giolito. That may sound harsh, but the reality is among pitchers with at least 50 innings, he's posted bottom-three marks in all of the following: ERA (7.08), SIERA (6.35), strikeout rate (11.0%), and walk rate (13.8%).

And wouldn't you know it, Cleveland is looking at the highest implied team total on the board (5.37). Giolito can be attacked from both sides of the plate, but he's been particularly brutal against lefty bats, allowing a .409 wOBA in the split.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out we want major exposure to this one, even if it's a stack that should be immensely popular. The top of the order is expensive, as always, but Francisco Lindor ($4,400), Michael Brantley ($4,300), and Jose Ramirez ($5,000) all top the wish list, along with Edwin Encarnacion ($4,100) if he's back after missing the last two games with an ankle issue. Lindor is a fantastic way to fill the shallow shortstop slot, while Ramirez is putting up a massive .422 wOBA and .325 isolated power (ISO) this season.

Of course, you'll be hard-pressed to fit all those salaries in one lineup, so you can opt for a more affordable Yonder Alonso ($3,400), who owns a better-than-you-might-expect .378 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA). Lonnie Chisenhall ($2,300) hasn't been back from the disabled list for very long, but don't forget he put up a .355 wOBA and .249 ISO against right-handed pitching in 2017.

Yan Gomes ($2,300) is more appealing against southpaws but has a promising 39.1% hard-hit rate versus righties.
