FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 6/19/18

Chris Sale or Justin Verlander is the big question of the day, but will we be able to afford them and still get exposure to Coors Field?

We get another marquee battle atop the pitching list, with Chris Sale and Justin Verlander both vying for the top spot on Tuesday's 15-game main slate. Of course, aces like these don't come cheap, and we've also got Coors Field on the menu tonight. Lucky for us, with some super cheap value plays scattered about, we should still be able to have our cake and eat it, too. In addition to the Rockies and Mets in Colorado, we can also look to teams like the Yankees, Nationals, Indians, Rangers, and Angels for offensive firepower.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Chris Sale ($11,400 on FanDuel): After scuffling against the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros, we've witnessed an angry Chris Sale in his past two starts, demonstrating an uptick in velocity and even maxing out at over 100 miles-per-hour against the Chicago White Sox. That's a guy you want on your side, and if he can improve upon an already incredible 2.71 SIERA, 34.0% strikeout rate, and 6.9% walk rate, along with a league-best 28.6% soft-hit rate, watch out. The Minnesota Twins don't project for a particularly imposing lineup, and are only showing a 3.11 implied team total. It's a tough call between Sale and Verlander, but given Sale's recent form and slight edge in overall numbers, it is hard to pass him up in cash games.
