3 MLB Prop Bets to Target on 6/26/18

Will Ross Stripling continue his strikeout ways as the Dodgers take on the Cubs tonight in Los Angeles?

Prop betting odds can be useful in daily fantasy sports to help gauge the potential performance of a player on any given night in the MLB. Likewise, the same principles can be applied in the opposite direction -- by using our fantasy projections and models to help make more informed prop bets.

Using the odds available at Bovada Sportsbook, here are three prop bets available tonight that are good plays based on our daily MLB game projections.

Please note that Vegas lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Chicago Cubs at Los Angeles Dodgers

Ross Stripling OVER 6 Strikeouts (-125)

We cashed the over with Kenta Maeda on Monday, as he struck out nine Chicago Cubs on the night. Once again, our models are high on a Los Angeles Dodgers starter in this series, and Bovada's prop odds on Ross Stripling are suspiciously low.

Stripling has no fewer than six strikeouts over his last eight starts, and he is averaging 7.6 strikeouts per start over that stretch. With Stripling owning a career-best 29.6% strikeout rate this season, our models like him to produce 7.51 strikeouts tonight.

Los Angeles Angels at Boston Red Sox

Mookie Betts OVER 2.5 Runs, Hits, and RBI (-125)

Left-hander John Lamb is on the hill for the Los Angeles Angels Tuesday in Boston, and our models think that Mookie Betts could be one of the better hitters on the slate.

Betts owns a .461 wOBA and a .379 isolated power against left-handed pitching this season. He has recorded a run, hit, or RBI once every 1.4 plate appearances this season against lefties, and tonight we are projecting him for 3.06 runs, hits, and RBI.

Toronto Blue Jays at Houston Astros

Jose Altuve OVER 2.5 Runs, Hits, and RBI (-135)

We are sticking with the chalk on Tuesday with a play on Jose Altuve's runs, hits, and RBI. The Houston Astros are yet to have an answer on the Toronto Blue Jays' starter tonight, but either way it goes, Altuve holds a ton of value.

Altuve is 29-for-81 (.358) in the month of June, and he owns a run, hit, or RBI once every 1.55 plate appearances this month. Assuming he can stay hot, our models project Altuve for 3.22 runs, hits, and RBI.
