FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 8/21/18

The Rockies are back at Coors against a modest lefty tonight, which could mean big things for Trevor Story. Who else is drawing our attention on Tuesday's slate?

Coors Field makes its triumphant return on Tuesday, so the Colorado Rockies lead the way on offense, along with the Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers, and Chicago Cubs. There isn't necessarily a standout number-one option at pitcher, but we still have a solid group to sift through at various price points.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Blake Snell ($9,600 on FanDuel): The Tampa Bay Rays have understandably been treating Blake Snell with kid gloves since his return from the DL, and Snell's 76 pitches in his last outing were the most he's seen over three starts since. He ought to be getting close to a full workload at this point, but chances are he'll still remain below the 100-pitch threshold, making him particularly risky on FanDuel, where we want that quality start bonus. Still, Snell remains intriguing because of his fantastic matchup against the Kansas City Royals, who have a bottom-dwelling 77 wRC+ and 23.5% strikeout rate versus southpaws. In fact, the Royals have the lowest implied team total on the board (2.72), and an efficient Snell could be poised for a big night with his high-upside 28.5% strikeout rate. His 9.6% walk rate always looms as a potential deterrent, but the Royals also own one of the lowest walk rates against lefties (7.3%). In spite of the pitch count worries, Snell remains one of the top options tonight and is slightly cheaper than Patrick Corbin or Masahiro Tanaka, which could go a long way on a Coors Field slate.
