A tidy six-game slate awaits us on Thursday, and since it will include the second game of the doubleheader between the Miami Marlins and New York Mets, note that lock will be a little earlier at 6:30 p.m. ET tonight. As one might imagine, the pitching options are a tad limited on the short slate, but we still have a pair of solid choices to roll with. Flipping over to offense, the Boston Red Sox and Oakland Athletics are the top dogs this evening.

Clayton Kershaw ($11,500 on FanDuel): Clayton Kershaw is the only pitcher to hit the five-digit salary threshold, which goes to show what sort of pitching slate we're working with. Still, while "Kershaw days" aren't a thing anymore, he still has the strongest overall numbers on the board, with a 3.29 SIERA, 24.6% strikeout rate, and 3.9% walk rate. A road matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals isn't anything special, but he'll still be in a pitcher's park, and St. Louis has the lowest implied total (3.24). This probably isn't the spot for a spike performance, but Kershaw has rattled off 12 straight quality starts and is the least likely hurler to bust tonight.
