FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Thursday 9/27/18

A windy night at Wrigley Field should benefit hitters, putting Anthony Rizzo and the Cubs offense in a good position on Thursday.

Only one pitcher stands out on Thursday's six-game main slate, but will bad weather throw a wrench in everything? Offense isn't lacking, however, with the Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners, and Minnesota Twins all sitting in good spots.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Gerrit Cole ($11,400 on FanDuel): Gerrit Cole towers over everyone with his lofty salary, but it's with good reason, as his season numbers also tower over all other pitchers going tonight. No one can hold a candle to his 2.88 SIERA and 35.1% strikeout rate, and if that wasn't enough, he draws the lowly Baltimore Orioles, who have posted an 82 wRC+ and 25.0% strikeout rate this September. The only problem? This is naturally the one game with serious weather issues. With no alternatives on the same level as Cole, you'll have to keep close tabs on this one and see whether it's safe enough to take the plunge.
