4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 5/7/19

The Tampa Bay Rays are coming off a big offensive performance and could be at it again on Tuesday against Taylor Clarke and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Coors Field is back in action on Tuesday, which means both the Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants are worthy of stacking against Madison Bumgarner and Antonio Senzatela, respectively. While the Rockies figure to be more likely to produce compared to the light-hitting Giants, San Francisco is fairly cheap across the board for a Coors game. However, if you wish to stack elsewhere, we have plenty of other viable choices on this 13-game slate.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks. As usual, we will not include today's game at Coors Field in these recommendations. You already know that you want bats at Coors when you can afford them, and you don't need us to tell you. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays came through in a big way on Monday, piling up 12 runs and 2 bombs against the Arizona Diamondbacks, and they could be back for more tonight against right-hander Taylor Clarke.

Clarke has all of three innings of MLB experience from a few weeks back against the Chicago Cubs, and while he kept them scoreless and even earned a save, he hasn't exactly been lighting it up in the minors. Over five Triple-A starts this season, he's posted a brutal 6.12 ERA that isn't just some bout with bad luck given his equally terrible 5.79 FIP and 5.92 xFIP. Throw in a 15.9% strikeout rate and 38.3% ground-ball rate, along with some fairly modest Triple-A numbers in 2018, and it's easy to see why we could see the Rays go nuts again.

Best of all, the Rays' prices haven't changed much from yesterday, with Brandon Lowe ($3,800), Tommy Pham ($3,900), and Yandy Diaz ($3,700) all still under $4,000 while ranking 21st, 26th, and 42nd in average exit velocity on line drives and fly balls.

The rest of the lineup remains below $3,000 apiece, including the lefty sticks of Ji-Man Choi ($2,800) and Nathaniel Lowe ($2,400) batting third and fifth, respectively, along with Kevin Kiermaier ($2,900) out of the seven hole.
