4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 5/22/19

We get another top-heavy hitting slate tonight, with multiple teams showing implied totals over five runs, including two nearly reaching six. But are there other teams worth stacking, too?

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

New York Yankees

Yes, the New York Yankees are about as obvious as they come as proud owners of a slate-high 5.90 implied total, but even if it's chalky, they're in a truly dreamy spot against Dan Straily.

As is, the Yankees have punished the Baltimore Orioles for double-digit runs in back-to-back games, but Straily may very well be the worst starter they'll face in this series. This season, he's posted a 6.41 SIERA, 10.7% strikeout rate and 9.4% walk rate, and it wasn't like he was very good over 23 starts in 2018, either, with a 4.92 SIERA. He's already given up 10 bombs, too, an issue that's nothing new for Straily after allowing more than 1.45 per nine innings in each of the last three seasons.

When you include all that with Baltimore's poor bullpen and the power-friendly confines of Camden Yards, it's easy to see why the Yankees should roll here. Like yesterday, just about everyone in the lineup is in play, with Kendrys Morales ($2,600) and Brett Gardner ($3,000) likely checking in as the best salary-saving options. Gardner is moving up to sixth in the order tonight, and with the platoon advantage, he's posted a solid .181 ISO since the beginning of 2017.
