4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 6/17/19

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking for our daily fantasy baseball lineups. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

Los Angeles Angels

Whether you want to take salary into account or not, the Los Angeles Angels stand out as the premier stack on the slate.

There's no better-positioned offense in action on Monday, as they're showing a slate-high 5.73-run implied total (0.42 higher than anyone else) against right-hander Edwin Jackson and the Toronto Blue Jays. Worth targeting whenever he takes the mound, Jackson has opened 2019 with a 5.43 skill-interactive ERA, and since 2016 he shows a 5.07 SIERA, not posting better than a 4.98 in any of those years.

The Angels have a trio of bats for $3,000 or less that are likely to be hitting high in the order tonight in Tommy La Stella ($3,000), Kole Calhoun ($3,000) and Albert Pujols ($2,800). Pujols loses some luster without the platoon advantage, but even at 39 years old he's flexing a 48.3% hard-hit and 38.6% fly-ball rate in the split, which is right in line with his 41.2% hard-hits and 37.9% fly-balls from last year. La Stella is having a career year from the dish with a .371 wOBA and .223 ISO on a 40.7% hard-hit rate, and while Calhoun doesn't offer much consistency, he brings a powerful .330 wOBA and .250 ISO against righties.

Then we get the usual suspects of Mike Trout ($4,600) and Shohei Ohtani ($3,800). Neither likely requires much introduction, but Trout has thrashed righties for a .446 wOBA and .349 ISO in 2019, while Ohtani has a career .406 wOBA and .307 ISO in the split. Justin Upton ($3,700) is in line to return for his first major league game of 2019, and he has a long history of hitting righties well, with a career .351 wOBA and .203 ISO, while he notched a .373 wOBA and .232 ISO in the split last year.
