FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Monday 9/9/19

Jordan Lyles has been about as inconsistent as they come, but can we trust him against the lowly Marlins on Monday?

Daily football football may be back in our lives, but don't forget that there's still plenty of baseball left this season! Monday's eight-game slate could be a little lighter on offense than usual, with just two teams surpassing a five-run implied total tonight.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitcher

Jacob deGrom ($10,600 on FanDuel): Of tonight's high-priced aces, Jacob deGrom arguably deserved top billing in a solid home matchup against the Diamondbacks. Although Arizona's active roster owns a modest 21.1% strikeout rate versus righties, deGrom provides plenty of punchout upside off his own 31.1% strikeout rate, and the D-backs shouldn't offer much resistance with a mere 89 wRC+ in the split. Add in pitcher-friendly Citi Field, and Arizona is left with a slate-low 3.06 implied total, and deGrom should get back on track after a pair of somewhat underwhelming starts against the Cubs and Nationals.
