J.D. Martinez hitting cleanup as Red Sox open American League Division Series versus Yankees
Boston Red Sox designated hitter/outfielder J.D. Martinez is playing DH and batting out of the cleanup spot versus left-hander J.A. Happ and the New York Yankees in Game 1 of the American League Division Series.
Martinez will handle cleanup duties and Xander Bogaerts will work out of the five-hole as the Red Sox welcome their arch-rival to Fenway for Game 1.
