Matt Chapman (thumb, shoulder) could play for Athletics on Tuesday
Oakland Athletics Matt Chapman (thumb, shoulder) could make his Cactus League debut as soon as Tuesday.
What It Means:
The Athletics have been taking it easy with Chapman following offseason thumb and shoulder procedures. If he avoids a setback, the 25-year-old should be fine for Opening Day.
numberFire's models project Chapman for a .266 batting average with 26 home runs, 76 RBI, and 87 runs scored in 2019.
