Minnesota's Miguel Sano (Achilles) expected to be out until May
Minnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano (Achilles) will not be ready for Opening Day.
What It Means:
Sano underwent a procedure on Tuesday and is expected to miss at least the first five weeks of the 2019 regular season. Expect Marwin Gonzalez to start at third base until Sano resumes baseball activities and is ready to return.
Our models currently project Gonzalez to produce a .260 average with 18 homeruns and 69 RBI in 549 plate appearances.
