Oakland's Chris Herrmann (knee) will undergo surgery
Oakland Athletics utility-man Chris Herrmann will miss the beginning of the 2019 regular season.
What It Means:
Herrmann will not start the season on the active roster after the team determined his right knee will need surgery. Look for Nick Hundley and Josh Phegley to start at catcher until Herrmann can return.
Our models project Phegley to hit .225 with 6 homeruns and 29 RBI in 255 plate appearances.
