Nationals name Max Scherzer as Opening Day starter
Washington Nationals manager Davey Martinez announced Monday that Max Scherzer will be the team's Opening Day starter against the Mets.
What It Means:
This is not exactly surprising news, given that Scherzer has been one of the game's top pitchers.
Scherzer had 2.53 ERA and 2.65 FIP in 220.2 innings last season.
