Bryce Harper exits after ankle hit by pitch, Phillies not concerned
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper suffered a right foot contusion during Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Toronto Blue Jays as a result of being hit by a pitch, manager Gabe Kapler said.
Harper was plunked by a 96-mph fastball and immediately hit the ground in pain. He remained there momentarily before eventually limping off the field. “We are confident he is going to be alright," Kapler said. "Not overly concerned right now.” Expect a plethora of updates on Harper's status between now and Opening Day.
numberFire's models expect Harper to bat .266 with 35 home runs, 97 RBI, 98 runs scored, and 12 steals during his first season in Philadelphia.
