Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) not expected to be ready by Opening Day
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) is unlikely to start on Opening Day per manager Dave Roberts.
What It Means:
No real surprise here as Kershaw has been slowed in spring training with a sore shoulder. While he is progressing well, he may miss a start or two at the beginning of the season and land on the injured list.
Our models had Kershaw projected for a 2.87 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 186 strikeouts in 184 2/3 innings pitched before the latest injury update.
