Mitch Haniger hits one long, doubles as Mariners win in extras
Seattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger went 2-for-4 with a home run and a double in a 5-4 extra-innings win over the Oakland Athletics on Thursday morning in Japan.
Haniger drew a walk as well. He smacked a double in the first inning and then added his first bomb of 2019 in the third. The 28-year-old picked up an RBI on a sac fly in Wednesday's opener, so he's off to a great start after a career year last season. The Mariners are off a week until picking back up against the Boston Red Sox.
numberFire's models expect Haniger to hit .273 with 22 home runs, 79 RBI, 79 runs scored, and 7 steals this season.
