Seattle Mariners catcher David Freitas was sent down to Triple-A on Friday.
What It Means:
The Mariners acquired Tom Murphy from the Colorado Rockies on Friday, making Freitas expendable. He had started behind the plate on Opening Night. Omar Narvaez will start on Friday.
Freitas went 0-for-2 with 1 walk and 1 run scored on Thursday.
