Boston's Dustin Pedroia (knee) makes an early exit on Wednesday
Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia (knee) left Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees early.
Pedroia left the contest in the second inning with what the team is calling left knee discomfort. The veteran infielder played just six games this season and three last year due to a knee injury that required surgery. The renewed soreness is not a good sign for Pedroia's health this season.
Pedroia has batted just .100 with 1 run and 1 RBI in 21 plate appearances this season.
