Chris Owings out of Kansas City's Saturday lineup
Kansas City Royals utility-man Chris Owings will not start against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday.
What It Means:
Owings will head to the bench tonight with Billy Hamilton in center field, Whit Merrifeld handling designated hitting duties, and Adalberto Mondesi at shortstop.
In 123 at-bats this season, Owings is hitting .138 with two home runs and eight RBI.
