Royals put Hunter Dozier (chest) on injured list
The Kansas City Royals placed third baseman Hunter Dozier on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 31, with a chest injury.
Dozier hasn't played since pulling a chest muscle last Thursday. The 27-year-old is eligible to return on June 10. Cheslor Cuthbert has been filling in at third base for Kansas City. A corresponding roster move will be made prior to Tuesday's series opener against the Boston Red Sox.
Dozier is enjoying a breakout campaign in 2019, batting .314/.389/.589 with 11 homers, 12 doubles, 33 RBI, and 27 runs scored over 216 plate appearances.
