Royals' Hunter Dozier (chest) to play rehab games

Kansas City Royals third baseman Hunter Dozier (chest) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Monday.

What It Means:

Dozier will be in Arkansas for a few days before joining his wife Thursday, who is expecting a child later this week. He will then move his rehab assignment to Triple-A Omaha before returning to the Royals. The 27-year-old's breakout campaign has been put on hold since May 30 due to a chest injury.

Dozier was batting .314/.389/.589 with 11 homers, 12 doubles, 33 RBI, and 27 runs scored over 216 plate appearances before landing on the IL.
