Angels' Andrelton Simmons (ankle) may return this week
Los Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons (ankle) could be activated from the injured list this week, per manager Brad Ausmus.
Simmons has missed nearly a month with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain, so the Angels will likely have him get in at least one rehab game before returning.
Simmons was slashing .298/.323/.415 with 3 homers, 13 doubles, 21 RBI, 22 runs scored, and 5 steals across 195 plate appearances this season.
