Mariners' Mitch Haniger (groin) hoping to take batting practice this weekend
Seattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger (groin) is hoping to take batting practice this weekend.
Haniger was just cleared this week for non-baseball activity, and he has been playing catch and taking dry swings. He has been out for nearly three weeks with a ruptured testicle. Haniger is not expected to be ready to return to action until after the All-Star break.
Haniger was batting .220 with 15 homers in 283 plate appearances before suffering the injury.
