Rangers' Hunter Pence to undergo MRI on right groin

Texas Rangers designated hitter/outfielder Hunter Pence will undergo an MRI on his right groin.

What It Means:

Pence was placed on the injured list June 17 with a right groin strain and then aggravated the injury in a minor league rehab appearance Monday at Double-A Frisco. It looks like he may remain out through the All-Star break.

Pence was hitting .294/.353/.608 with 15 home runs, 14 doubles, 48 RBI, 44 runs scored, and 3 steals across 215 plate appearances this season.
