Ryan Zimmerman (foot) out Monday for Nationals
Washington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman (foot) is not starting in Monday's series opener versus right-hander Peter Lambert and the Colorado Rockies.
Zimmerman aggravated the plantar fasciitis in his right foot on Sunday night. He will likely require another stint on the injured list. Matt Adams is starting on first base Monday.
Zimmerman is batting .246 with a .701 OPS in 132 plate appearances this season.
