Yusei Kikuchi will be skipped in Mariners' rotation
Seattle Mariners pitcher Yusei Kikuchi will be skipped on his next turn through the rotation.
The Mariners will try to limit Kikuchi's workload this season, allowing him only to make a couple of starts the rest of the season. Justus Sheffield will be called up from the minors to start Friday with Felix Hernandez coming off the IL on Saturday.
Kikuchi owns a 5.19 ERA and 1.44 WHIP with 103 strikeouts in 135 1/3 innings pitched this season.
