Darren O'Day (hamstring) still without a timetable for Orioles

Baltimore Orioles reliever Darren O'Day said his recovery from a hamstring strain has gone slower than expected.

What It Means:

O'Day has yet to throw off a mound and doesn't know when he will. He's eligible to be activated from the disabled list on Friday, but that obviously won't happen considering he isn't able to throw yet. The Orioles would love for O'Day to get healthy and be able to again use him in the late innings, but they're in good hands for now with Brad Brach (1.04 ERA) setting up for ace closer Zach Britton.

O'Day has a 3.77 xFIP and an impressive 28.7 strikeout percentage in 20 innings pitched this season. Our models currently project him to record a 3.31 ERA and a 27.3 strikeout percentage over the remaining course of the season, but he'll need to get healthy first.
