Brewers' Zach Davies goes six strong for 10th win
Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Zach Davies limited the Colorado Rockies to one run over six innings Sunday for his 10th win of the season.
Davies walked three batters, but tallied eight strike outs and limited a potentially-dangerous Rockies offense to just five hits. The one run he allowed was a solo home run by Nolan Arenado in the top of the first inning. The 23 year-old Davies now owns a 4.06 ERA and a 19.5 strikeout percentage (league average is 21.0 percent) in 133 innings pitched this season. He'll face the St. Louis Cardinals in his next start.
Davies' xFIP jumped slightly to 4.10 after Wednesday's performance. We project him to record a 4.06 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP over the rest of the season.
