Mets' David Wright dealing with shoulder impingement

New York Mets third baseman David Wright won't throw for "a couple weeks" after being diagnosed with a right shoulder impingement.

What It Means:

Wright is working his way back from neck surgery, but has been bothered by soreness in his shoulder during private throwing sessions. General manager said the 34-year-old veteran is "questionable" for Opening Day, but his chances don't sound too good.

Wright was off to a solid start last season prior to injury, posting a .344 wOBA in 164 plate appearances, paired with a .212 ISO, which would have been his highest mark since the 2010 season.
