Second opinion comfirms New York's David Wright has a shoulder impingement

New York Mets third baseman David Wright said a second opinion confirmed he's dealing with a right shoulder impingement.

What It Means:

Wright will be shut down from throwing for a couple of weeks but the good news is the injury isn't more serious. He is still working his way back from neck surgery and has been limited to just hitting in the Grapefruit League games so far. Wright's status for Opening Day seems iffy at best.

Our models project Wright for a .246 batting average with eight homers and 37 RBI's over 353 plate appearances in 2017.
