Tyler Thornburg (dead arm) will throw Wednesday for Red Sox
Boston Red Sox pitcher Tyler Thornburg (arm) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday.
Thornburg has been kept off the mound since March 1 as he fights through a dead arm phase. He could still potentially be ready for the start of the season next month, but we'll see how things go Wednesday.
The 28-year-old right-hander was excellent in relief for the Milwaukee Brewers last season, recording a 2.15 ERA, as well as career-bests in xFIP (3.28) and strikeout rate (34.2 percent).
