Houston clears Jose Altuve of a concussion after collision
Houston Astros manager A.J. Hinch said a concussion has been ruled out for second baseman Jose Altuve after colliding with teammate Teoscar Hernandez in the eighth inning of Tuesday's win over the Cleveland Indians.
The two teammates were immediately removed from the game. While Altuve appears to have avoided any serious injury and is considered day-to-day, it sounds like Hernandez suffered some severe damage to his left knee.
Altuve is batting .312/.386/.442 with two home runs, seven RBI's, seven stolen bases and 11 runs scored in 88 plate appearances this season.
