Eduardo Nunez (hamstring) remains out for the Giants
San Francisco Giants third baseman Eduardo Nunez (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Thursday.
After missing the weekend series with the Colorado Rockies, Nunez tried to come back on Monday but appears to have re-injured his hamstring as he will now miss his third straight game on Thursday. He is still considered day-to-day but may be a DL candidate if he can't play on Friday. Kelby Tomlinson will continue to play at third.
Nunez had 17 stolen bases and a .299 batting average this year and was projected, by our algorithms, for 17 more steals, along with 41 runs scored, the rest of the season, before the injury.
