Rick Porcello starting on Friday for Red Sox
Boston Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello will start on Friday versus the Kansas City Royals.
A previous report stated Brian Johnson would be starting on Friday, but the Red Sox have decided to move their four healthy starters up a day to fill the void left by David Price (elbow). Porcello will start Friday, followed by Eduardo Rodriguez on Saturday, and Drew Pomeranz on Sunday.
Porcello owns a 4.52 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 20.7 strikeout percentage across 133 1/3 innings this season while going 4-13 in 21 starts.
