Angels getting calls on Bud Norris, David Hernandez and Yusmeiro Petit
The Los Angeles Angels have been receiving trade calls on pitchers Bud Norris, David Hernandez and Yusmeiro Petit, per MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.
Feinsand added that the Angels are willing to move any or all of them by Monday's trade deadline. Hernandez has been linked to the Boston Red Sox, but this is the first we've heard about Norris and Petit. Now 18 1/2 games back in the AL West, the Angels appear to be doing some big-time shopping heading into the second half.
All three pitchers have posted a nERD of at least 1.22 this season, but Petit leads the trio with a 1.62 nERD. However, Hernandez' 1.82 FIP is the best of the Angels' pitchers.
