Astros' Carlos Correa (thumb) hopes to swing a bat next week
Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa (thumb) hopes to resume swinging a bat next week.
Correa is two weeks in to a 6-8 week timetable for his torn thumb ligament, so he still has a ways to go. However, it is encouraging that he will begin to swing a bat soon. Don't expect him back until closer to playoff time though.
Our models expect Correa to post a .308 batting average, with 2 home runs, 7 RBI, and 6 runs scored over 45 plate appearances remaining this season.
