Giants' Brandon Belt (concussion) still resting at home
San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt is still resting after suffering a concussion on August 4th, per The Mercury News' Andrew Baggarly.
Belt was hit in the head by a pitch earlier this month and was placed on the club's seven-day concussion DL. Reports are that he's feeling better but that he's still at home recovering. With his history with concussions, the Giants will continue to exercise caution with 29-year-old, so it's uncertain when or if he will return this season. Buster Posey and Jarrett Parker will continue to start at first as Belt and Michael Morse work their way back from head injuries.
numberFire's algorithms have Belt hitting 2 home runs and 3 doubles, with a .265 average in 58 plate appearances the rest of the 2017 season.
