Albert Pujols out of Angels' lineup against Washington
Los Angeles Angels designated hitter Albert Pujols is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Washington Nationals.
Pujols started at first base on Tuesday, but with C.J. Cron back in the lineup and no DH spot available under National League rules at Nationals Park, he'll head to the bench for today's series finale.
Over 109 games this season, Pujols is slashing just .229/.274/.374 with 17 home runs and 72 RBI in 467 plate appearances (PA). numberFire's models project him to record a .257 batting average with 5 home runs and 21 RBI in 156 PA over the remainder of the year.
