Joe Panik (elbow) on San Francisco's bench against Dodgers
San Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik is not starting on Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Panik was hit by a pitch on his elbow Saturday, and despite remaining in the contest, he'll be on the bench for today's matchup with southpaw Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers. Kelby Tomlinson will start at second base for the Giants while Pablo Sandoval mans the hot corner.
numberFire's models project Panik to turn in a .259 batting average across 30 remaining plate appearances this season.
