Mookie Betts (wrist) remains out Wednesday for Red Sox
Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Toronto Blue Jays.
It's a second consecutive absence for Betts, who is dealing with a bone bruise in his right thumb and inflammation in his left wrist. He's expected to be fine for the start of the American League Divisional Series next week, but Betts will likely be limited over the final handful of regular season games. Rajai Davis is starting in right field and hitting eighth Wednesday night against Blue Jays right-hander Marco Estrada.
Betts has hit 23 home runs with a .265/.343/.457 slash across 700 plate appearances on the year. He's averaged 12.6 FanDuel points per game in 2017 (150 games).
