Brandon Phillips not starting on Thursday for Angels
Los Angeles Angels second baseman Brandon Phillips is not starting on Thursday against the Chicago White Sox.
Phillips will sit while Kaleb Cowart starts at second base and bats sixth versus White Sox right-hander Dylan Covey. The Angels were eliminated from playoff contention on Wednesday night and are resting many of their starters for tonight's series finale.
