Anthony Rizzo resting again on Friday for Cubs
Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo is absent from Friday's lineup against the Cincinnati Reds.
Rizzo will join Kris Bryant on the Cubs' bench as they shift their focus towards the postseason. Alex Avila will cover first base and bat seventh versus right-hander Robert Stephenson and the Reds in today's series opener.
Rizzo is averaging 12.7 FanDuel points per game this season while slashing .274/.394/.510 with 32 home runs, 109 RBI, 99 runs scored, and 10 steals across 688 plate appearances (155 games).
