Tigers' Miguel Cabrera (back) won't play remainder of season
Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera will not play either of the team's two remaining games this season, according to the Detroit News' Chris McCosky.
Cabrera hasn't played since September 23rd as he deals with some reoccurring back issues. At 34 years old, it's the smart move to just shut him down and allow others to get reps at first base. Those will probably be split between Efren Navarro and John Hicks.
Cabrera hit just 16 home runs with a career-low .312 wOBA in 2017. His -0.36 nERD is, by far, the worst mark of his 15-year career.
